ClosureFast
ClosureFast, also known as radiofrequency ablation, is a minimally-invasive procedure designed to deliberately close problematic leg veins. The most commonly treated veins are the great saphenous vein (located on the inner thigh & inner calf) and the small saphenous vein (located on the back part of the calf).
Closing problematic veins reduces pressure within vein branches and varicose veins in the lower parts of the leg.
Sealing the bad vein eliminates blood flow, simulating the effect of vein stripping (removal), but avoids the need for large surgical incisions.
The ClosureFast procedure is safely and effectively performed via a tiny access site in the lower part of the leg using local anesthetic. The width of the skin access site is typically less than 3mm in width.
